Rehab Centers

Many people who have a drug problem are living on the streets. The Salvation Army provides drug rehab and alcohol rehab options for those who cannot afford better or more adequate care. The individual must go there under their own wishes and be sober at the time of arrival, but other than that, there are no requirements or restrictions that would prevent anyone who cannot afford private health care to checking themselves into a rehab center provided by the Salvation Army. These rehab centers provide a lot more than just a place to stay and food to eat. They provide many services and a lot of guidance to these addicts to help them turn their life around. They require them to work so that they can garner some sense of responsibility in their lives while gaining some useful employment skills and experience.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development has published studies showing that there is an increased need for drug and alcohol rehab centers that are available to low-income people who could not otherwise afford any type of rehabilitation. In response to the growing need of these centers, the Salvation Army offers their services to these individuals to help give them the support they need.
